KATHARINE House hospice is calling for volunteers to help at two fundraising events in the run up to Christmas.
The first is the Banbury town centre collection day on Thursday, December 6, when hospice supporters will be asking for donations, and the other is at the town's Sainsbury's on Wednesday, December 19, when volunteers will pack shoppers' bags.
Sarah Bidwell, fundraising administrator at the Adderbury hospice, said: "We had a fantastic response last year to our request for volunteers to help with both of these events.
"The town centre collection raised £1,500 and the bag pack day £900.
"These are significant sums and we would like to do even better this year. We rely heavily on the support of local people to help raise the £1.2m each year which we require to provide our service."
Hospice supporters Mags Durham and Pat Rix will be running craft stalls at Christmas bazaars in Chenderit School, Middleton Cheney, next Saturday, and at Beachborough School, at Westbury near Brackley, on November 24.
