A GOVERNMENT inspector will examine plans to build a two-storey flat block in Oxford denied permission by the city council.
John Keown, owner of 16 Ladenham Road, Oxford, has appealed against Oxford City Council's refusal for planning permission at the site.
He wanted to build two one-bedroom flats on the Blackbird Leys road, but the council turned him down in November last year.
Now a series of written statements will be made by the council and Mr Keown as part of the appeals process, which will then by considered by an inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Housing.
The original planning application made by Mr Keown can be seen at Oxford City Council's planning portal under the reference 19/02567/FUL.
Since making the appeal, Mr Keown has also applied to build a side extension on the side of 16 Ladenham Road.
This application is currently being considered by city council planners.
The new application can also be viewed on the city council's planning portal by searching for planning reference 20/00176/FUL.
If the council loses a planning appeal, it is liable to pay the costs of the appeal from the public purse.
