A GROUP of South Oxfordshire residents gathered outside county hall this morning to protest over concerns about local democracy.
The protesters were gathered outside the main entrance to Oxfordshire County Council's offices ahead of a meeting which could decide who has power over where homes are built in the district in the future.
Oxfordshire County Council is debating whether or not to accept responsibility over South Oxfordshire District Council's local plan, to prepare for the event that the government passes powers over the plan to them.
A total of 13 public speakers have spoken at the meeting to object to giving control over SODC's local plan to the county council.
