A RALLY to show solidarity for the people of Burma will be held in Oxford tomorrow.
Protesters against the military junta will gather at Manzil Way from 11am, set off down Cowley Road at noon, march along the High Street and end with a rally on Broad Street.
The aim of the event is to show solidarity with the people of Burma, support for the pro-democracy movement led by Oxford alumni Aung San Suu Kyi, protest against the detainment of pro-democracy activists in Burma and raise awareness of the plight of the oppressed people.
Those taking part are asked to wear red or orange if possible and bring banners and placards.
