A WOULD-be robber fled empty-handed after trying to snatch a purse from a vulnerable woman's lap.
The 'stocky' tattooed man targeted a 65-year-old woman as she rode her mobility scooter in Berinsfield, but she put up a fight.
Thames Valley Police said there was a 'short struggle' between the pair and the man left on foot without the purse.

The attempted robbery happened between 9.15am and 9.30am on Monday.
It took place on a footpath that links Berinsfield Library with Lay Avenue and Evenlode Drive.
Investigating officer PC Matthew Eldridge based at Thame police station said: "I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, which was a frightening experience for the victim.
"If anyone was in the area who saw something, or believes they have any information, please come forward."

The victim had been travelling away from the library, and the man had been walking in the opposite direction.
He is described as white, around 5ft 11ins tall, in his 20s and of stocky build.
He was wearing a petrol blue hoody, dark trousers and had a tattoo on his right hand.
