BRIDGE repairs are to force the closure of a section of Whitegate Road in Marton next week.
The closure will be in place from Monday, February 17 through to Friday, February 21, and will be in force daily between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
This is to allow Cheshire West and Chester Council to carry out work on the Whitegate Way bridge following reports of badly spalled bricks which need to be replaced.
A general inspection of the bridge and the removal of vegetation will also take place.
A long diversion has been drawn up that will see motorists avoid the closure by instead using Dalefords Lane, Chester Road, Forest Road and the A54.
A public notice issued by CWAC reads: “The closure will come into force on Monday, February 17 daily from 9.30am until 3.30pm and will be in force for a maximum of five days.
“It is anticipated that the work will last for approximately five days.”
