AN OXFORD woman is warning the public after her handbag was grabbed through her car window.
The incident happened on Monday afternoon at the junction on Eynsham Road and West Way.
Ettie-jane Pearce said she was stopped by 'an old Asian lady wearing a traditional pink salwar kameez who looked distressed'.
The woman asked Miss Pearce to take her to a bus stop, but couldn't answer which one.
When Miss Pearce told the woman she wasn't comfortable letting her in her car, the woman became 'very aggressive' and 'called her names'.

The woman then put her hand through the car window and tried to grab Miss Pearce's handbag and then punched her car.
Miss Pearce said the woman then 'walked back to a black Audi with three Asian males in'.
Miss Pearce said in a post on Facebook: "I would hate to think what could have happened to me if I was naive enough to do what she asked.
"I will always help in any situation however this has made me more aware of some of the people on the streets nowadays."
Miss Pearce has reported the incident to 101.
