A HELICOPTER that has been spotted circling Oxford was thought to be from an electricity network operator but it's not.
Western Power Distribution (WPD) tweeted that it was flying helicopters as part of its work yesterday in the city.

A helicopter can be seen in the sky today and it was thought WPD was responsible for it too, but the company says it is only flying helicopters in Telford and Llanfihangel.
The company delivers electricity to the Midlands, South West and Wales.
It uses helicopters to patrol electricity lines, making sure they are safe.
We have asked Thames Valley Police and the air ambulance about the helicopter, which was spotted circling Osney Mead on three separate ocassions today, for long periods of time.
Look out for our helicopters at work today in the skies over #Oxford, #Telford & South #Somerset. Thanks to @mary_malins who took this fab shot over #Glenfield in #Leicester. #wpdspotted pic.twitter.com/DmDq9AyBjk
