The Space Up! - the latest concept to join the Volkswagen Up! small-car family - has just been unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan.
A modest small car, its spacious interior features four individual seats, three of which can either be folded or removed to allow for up to 1,005 litres of luggage space.
Access to the boot area in confined spaces is made easier through the use of side-hinged rear doors, and despite the gains in size, the Space Up! is still 150mm shorter in length than the smallest VW car, the Fox.
Volkswagen already has Up! vehicles on the production line, so we can expect to see the Space Up! on Britain's roads before the decade is out.
