A DRIVER involved in a 'serious' crash with a pedestrian left the scene without providing any details.
Police are trying to track down the driver, whose car struck a teenager in Blackbird Leys on Tuesday as she was crossing the road.
The pedestrian, a 19-year-old woman, was hit at about 10.20pm.
Thames Valley Police described the location as Windale Bridge, thought to refer to the bridge on Windale Avenue.
The force is appealing for witnesses and described the collision as 'serious', although the woman only suffered minor injuries.
The vehicle involved was a dark-coloured car, which was travelling towards Leys Leisure Centre.
The driver is believed to have initially stopped but then left without leaving any details.
The pedestrian was helped by members of the public and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, but was later discharged with minor injuries.
Investigating officer, PC Andy Wickens of the Roads Policing Unit based in Abingdon, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision and may have information about this incident.
"We would especially like to speak to the driver of the vehicle involved."
No description of the driver was provided.
