A memorial service will be held in tribute to lives lost on Oxfordshire's roads.
The multi-faith service at St Mary the Virgin, in Thame, will allow the emergency services to come together with members of the public to remember those who have died in car crashes.
The service will involve faith leaders from different traditions, led by the Bishop of Buckingham.
Supt Mick Doyle, head of Roads Policing, said: "We want to offer families and friends an opportunity to remember their loved ones in an appropriate setting.
"It is also a chance for emergency service workers to reflect on collisions they have attended and people they have tried to help."
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 18, at St Mary the Virgin church in Thame from 4pm.
Last year 68 people died on the county's roads which is the highest on record.
In the last three months of 2006 there were 22 road deaths and police are urging motorists to take extra care on the roads until the end of the year.
By October 1 this year there were 21 road deaths in Oxfordshire. By the same time last year there were 46 deaths on the county's roads.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event, but space is limited and people wanting to attend can reserve a space by contacting Elizabeth Richardson on (01628) 601521 For more information visit the roads policing website at www.thamesvalley.police.uk
