This morning the Environment Agency issued 30 flood alerts for the county.
The government's team issued warnings for most of Oxford and parts of the county close to waterways.
Oxfordshire County Council, the body responsible for the roads in the county, has also used Twitter to warn motorists of places to avoid.

There is severe flooding at at least a couple of points on the #A417 between #Faringdon and #Challow. Near the #Goosey turn and near #WestChallow are possibly the worst. Do not attempt to drive through deep standing water - it very often wins the argument. #OxonTravel pic.twitter.com/ft8JNxQnK2

Please don't try to use the #WoodeatonRoad as a diversion for the #B4027 closure (#Woodeaton to #Noke and #Beckley). The #WoodeatonRoad is flooded. Instead, go back through #Islip, the #A34 and #A40 #NorthernBypass - and the reverse direction.https://t.co/sszME9R6Lw

The road through #Woodeaton to #Marston is flooded so please avoid and do not enter flood waters on this or any other road. This road is particularly busy because the #B4027 from #Woodeaton to #Noke remains closed. #OxonTravel pic.twitter.com/yhZnaIps6O
