RIVERS and streams across Oxfordshire have flooded onto roads today after Storm Brendan battered the county.
Gusts reached up to 50mph in some parts of Oxfordshire yesterday, followed by heavy rain overnight.
As a result, the Environment Agency has put out one flood warning for the river Thames and 29 flood alerts for other rivers and streams across the county.

A warning issued on the agency website, which will be in place until tomorrow, said that flooding was possible for the River Thames in the Oxford area, including areas between Wolvercote down to Radley and Jericho.
As it is, homes have been marked safe.
Other alerts are in place for much of the rest of the county.
