A MENTAL health hospital will build a new music therapy studio in memory of a former patient – if Oxford City Council give the plans a green light.
Warneford Hospital in Headington will install a Portacabin, with rooms for patients to make, practise and record music.
Oxford architects Gray Baynes and Shew have drawn up the designs for the 10m by 4m temporary building – which will be slotted onto the empty land between the former hospital mortuary and the plant room.

Planners at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust say it will be up for no more than five years, because in five years' time they plan on having a permanent building dedicated to music therapy somewhere else on the site.
The block will be made wheelchair friendly with ramps and will have a small enclosed garden for the patients to enjoy.
