TRIBUTES have been paid to the 'amazing' and 'caring' dad-of-three, who was stabbed to death in Didcot last week.
Darren MacCormick, aged 44, was named the victim of a brawl in Mendip Heights, after which police launched a murder investigation.
It happened in the early hours of Thursday morning, at a house on the residential estate.
Now his three children, brothers, sisters, parents and friends have paid tribute to the 'life of the party', 'free-spirited', 'happy-go-lucky', 'funny' guy.
His mum has also released a tribute of her 'caring' son, who was in the process of getting his own house and looking forward to having his children to stay more often.
Here are the tributes released by his family:
- “A loving son, taken away too soon. Rest in peace, Darren. Lots of love, Mum and Dad. God bless.”
- “A loving, caring son and father of three. He was looking forward to 2020 to get a house of his own so he could have his children more often. No son should go before their parents. Rest in peace Darren, love Mum.”
- “Lost an amazing, caring and great man. Our dad was taken away from us way too soon. Never known someone who loved his kids so much. We miss you so much dad, and the three of us will do you so proud. Love you millions, Dad. Love Kurt, Talula and Levi.”
- “An amazing brother with a big heart, leaving so many funny childhood memories. The things we did as brothers do, and one of the funniest days working together just before Christmas, non-stop laughing. An amazing uncle to my children, leaving them with so many great times and memories with you. Love you brother, Wayne.”
- “Brother and uncle, taken too soon. We’re going to miss you so much but I know you will always be by my side. I love you Darren, always. Kim, Mike and the kids.”
- “Bro, I’m gutted. Will miss you so much, no one deserves this to happen to them. Sweet dreams. All my love, Mel xx.”
- “An amazing brother, taken away too soon. Always put everyone before himself, as well as being the highlight of the night and bringing a party together. Love Tara."
- “The best uncle. A truly funny man loved and missed by many. I will miss bumping into you and seeing that grin. I love you always, Keean x.”
- "Darren my friend, you had so much spirit. You were free-spirited and the most happy, go-lucky funny guy. I have endless thoughts of you and memories. Always in my heart. Miss you Dizzy Daz. Nat."
