COMMUNITY groups are being offered free training to help them start up projects designed to save energy and tackle climate change.
The Energy Saving Trust is running a one-day training session in Oxford on November 21 as part of its Community Action for Energy (CAfE) programme and is inviting voluntary sector organisations from the area to attend.
The course, entitled Making It Happen, will show groups how they can work with local government, energy agencies and other organisations to deliver community-based energy saving initiatives.
Verity Saunders, CAfE senior project manager, said: "If you are concerned with helping the environment, saving energy and helping people save money on their fuel, and you are keen to develop a local energy project, then Making It Happen is for you."
The course is being held in Oxford Town Hall, to book a place call the CAfE team on 08701 261 444 or email CAfEest.org.uk
