A QUIET road was woken up in the early hours of Monday morning during an attempt to steal a cash machine.
At around 1am, a large Nissan SUV was reversed into the front of Londis, where 1 Stop Shop used to be, on Brasenose Road, in Didcot.
It is thought the would-be thieves were on a mission to steal the ATM inside - but instead just damaged the shutters of the shop, the glass windows and set off the alarm.
At the scene, a BMW 3 series was also spotted.
Somebody at the scene yesterday described it as a 'mess'.
Please note that Thames Valley Police have now confirmed the address of the incident as Brasenose Road instead of The Croft- as previously stated by the force.
Anybody with information should call 101, quoting reference 43200004808.
