'SUSPICIOUS' men went door-to-door offering to cut people's grass for £200.
Police issued a warning about the two men, after they were seen offering their services in Witney on Saturday.
Writing on the TVP West Oxfordshire Facebook page, officers said: "Two suspicious males were going door to door asking to cut the grass.
"They were not from a company and were asking for £200.
"Unfortunately an elderly gentlemen let them cut his grass but thankfully did not hand over £200, but still gave £20.
"Please be aware and advise anyone you know who might be vulnerable and could be a target to say no and call 101."

They said the pair were not working for a specific company.
The men were described as between 20 and 30 years old, and were seen trying to gain custom in Moorland Road.
One was wearing a red top with high-visibility clothing on top, with black trousers, and was cycling a rusty bike.
The other man had red hair and was wearing sunglasses, a dark polo top, dark trousers and was carrying a strimmer.
One woman, commenting on the Facebook post, said she was 'flabbergasted' that they would attempt to charge that amount of money.
Police advised people to 'stay safe and be vigilant'.
