Remember when: Klara the chimp was the champ at the party on December 27, 1974
Getting a hug and plenty of attention in December 1974 was Klara, the celebrity chimpanzee who took time off from filming television commercials to entertain youngsters.
It was a children's party organised by Bicester police at their social club.

Klara, seen mingling with the youngsters, is a real chimp.
She was joined by Hanna – another TV chimp celebrity – who both travelled from Southam Zoo to Bicester, where they delighted children with their tea party routine.
