WORKERS at a Bicester food factory bought dozens of Christmas presents for local children they had never met.
Staff at catering wholesaler Bidfood donated more than 50 gifts to the Trussell Trust's Bicester foodbank.
Managers at the depot put up a special Christmas Giving Tree covered in tags with real children's names, ages and genders.
Employees then plucked a tag off the tree and went hunting for the perfect present for their chosen child.
The team bought a variety of children’s toys, games and arts and crafts which have now been delivered.

Depot manager Steve Jones said: "Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, the team here at our Bicester depot really wanted to support those who need it most at this time of year, by giving back to the local community.
"We all get so wrapped up in our own festive plans during Christmas, it is so easy to forget that there are too many people around the country who won’t be enjoying Christmas in the same way.
"This is why myself and the team, felt it was so important for us to do our bit to try and make it a little more special for those who find this time of year tough."
Bidfood’s Bicester depot has been supporting the local Trussell Trust foodbank for a number of years now, donating a variety of food and drink to help the charity provide for those in need; this includes everything from pasta and rice, to fresh meats and snacks.
This year it has donated five tonnes of food and drink to support the project, equating to over 12,000 meals.
