LEWIS Hamilton has revealed his determination to go one better than his rookie season and clinch the 2008 world title.
Hamilton was pipped to the drivers' championship by Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen after a dramatic Brazilian Grand Prix, and the 22-year-old believes coming so close will give him belief next time around.
"I wouldn't say it's given me more inspiration - it gives you more confidence to know that you can do it," he said.
"With a little bit more hard work and the same dedication and commitment from me and the people around me, it's possible.
"I'm just as determined, if not more, to do it next year."
Since the dramatic season finale in Sao Paulo, when Hamilton dropped to the back of the field before finishing seventh, Hamilton has lost Fernando Alonso as a team-mate.
Hamilton suggested Nico Rosberg, Adrian Sutil or Heikki Kovalainen as possible contenders last week but McLaren will make the decision without the advice of their youngster.
