PART of a busy Oxford street was cordoned off by police after a man was assaulted by a group of men last night.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm in George Street when a 28-year-old man was punched and kicked by a group of three or four men.
The victim was taken to hospital with head injuries, which have now been examined and are not life threatening.

Officers cordoned off George Street from Chain Alley to Bulwarks Lane.
The street was closed since last night but is now open.
An investigation is underway and CCTV is being obtained and reviewed.
