CHILDREN swapped their smart school uniforms for an eclectic array of costumes as they performed in the Nativity.
Many schools across Oxfordshire are putting on the traditional Christmas production for parents, typically telling the story of the birth of Jesus.
Pupils at Headington Preparatory School in Oxford told the story with a twist, in their performance of the school musical Cock-a-Doodle Christmas last week.

The story focuses on farmyard animals who stay awake on Christmas Eve, featuring well-known Nativity characters including sheep and angels as well as chickens and cockerels.
Many nativities are taking place this week, with Carswell Community Primary School in Abingdon performing at Trinity Church yesterday morning.
