A PAIR of Oxford shops have been targeted by thieves who smashed their way into the businesses.

Thames Valley Police said the break ins took place between 1am Sunday and 5am on Monday, with the shops broken into on Walton Street, Jericho and Osney.

Burglars smashed a glass panel in the front door to gain entry to each of the shops.

The till float was stolen from one and nothing taken from the second.
