TOP-LEVEL discussions will continue this week in a bid to find work for more than 300 workers who will lose their jobs when Banbury's aluminium factory closes.
Cherwell District Council is in talks with the factory's owners SAPA over the redundancies and is looking at ways of bringing new jobs to the town.
SAPA took control of the former Alcoa site in June this year and announced the closure of the Banbury plant last week after a cost-cutting review.
A council spokesman said: "We will be working with partners to help anyone who becomes unemployed."
