Replying to Penny Bassett, Council's shame (Oxford Mail, October 26), there is much sympathy for her and others over the loss of the bridleway on the edge of the BMW factory at Cowley, Oxford.
Riders and their horses are respected globally, but times have changed.
I expect grandchildren will ask local authorities to provide bridleways with pitstops for horses to rest on their journeys.
It was silly of Ms Bassett to mention 'obesity' - surely obese people would be better off walking, not eating between meals and eating less fatty foods.
We live in an ever-changing world.
