THE A34 northbound is closed this morning due to a serious crash involving an ambulance that hit a 35-year-old man who was killed.
Commuters are being diverted via surrounding roads.
The road is closed between the A423 Hinksey Hill Interchange and Islip.
Highways England has released diversion information for drivers.
Traffic is being diverted via the solid black triangle symbol.
- Leave the A34 at Hinksey Hill interchange
- At the roundabout, turn right onto the A423 Southern Bypass Road
- At the ext roundabout, merge onto the A4142 Eastern Bypass Road
- Continue on the A4142 for 4.5 miles, to the junction with the A40 near Risinghurst

- At Headington roundabout, take the fourth exit onto the A40 eastbound
- Continue on the A40 for just over 4 miles, to the junction with the M40 J8a
- Turn left onto the M40 northbound, continuing for just oer 10 miles to J9
- Exit the M40 at J9 to continue locally
