THOUSANDS of people are expected to head to South Park in Oxford this evening for the annual Round Table fireworks display.
And money raised at the event will go towards East Oxford children's hospice Helen and Douglas House - with the aim being to raise enough money to run the two hospices for a day.
It is the 40th time Oxford Round Table has held its fireworks extravaganza, which will start at 5pm with the fireworks beginning at 6.30pm, and will also mark the charity's 70th anniversary.
Oxford Round Table raises funds for a number of local charities, including Helen & Douglas House, and the group is keen to hear from new people interested in getting involved.
Chairman Ben Burrows said: "We have a great team here at Oxford Round Table and we are so proud to have raised so much for our local charities but just think of what we could achieve with more hands."
As well as a pyrotechnical spectacular, there will also be a bonfire and food will be available.
Entrance on the gate costs £6 per person or £15 per family of up to five. Children under five go free.
