A GARAGE could be knocked to the ground and replaced with a two-storey house, but only if plans are approved by Oxford City Council.
The new house will be two-storeys high, next door to the row of houses on Spring Lane in Littlemore.
Developers said that the plans might be met with controversy.
They explained: "There may be some objection about some of the overdevelopment to the site, but unjustifiably so as it meets all of the local and national policy for space, amenity and parking."
However a public comment submitted by an officer at Oxfordshire County Council said that the bike storage was 'unacceptable' and should be moved to the front of the house instead of 'tucked away'.
