A MAN jumped into the River Thames this morning in a heroic bid to try and save his dog.
But he was pulled out of the water by ambulance crews and rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital with mild hypothermia.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesperson said he was otherwise fine, but his dog has died.
Drivers reported a big incident on the bridge this morning after a rapid response car and an ambulance were on the bridge at Abingdon Road.
Our traffic feed said drivers were queueing for 10 minutes as the crews worked to help the man.
