A PRIMARY school in Oxford has been told by Ofsted that it needs to improve, despite a largely positive report.
St John Fisher Catholic Primary School, in Littlemore, has been rated 'requires improvement' by the regulator.
The 232-pupil school had previously been rated 'good' in 2012, and has since converted into an academy and joined the Dominic Barberi Multi Academy Company.
Ofsted said the academy trust, which runs other schools including St Gregory the Great Catholic School, had been through a 'turbulent' time.

Inspectors' report, published following a visit in October, said: "Pupils enjoy coming to school: they are happy and feel safe.
"Pupils are enthusiastic about their learning. They are encouraged to develop a positive work ethic.
"The school is a calm and welcoming environment - pupils were proud to tell the inspector that they are ‘one community’."
Despite being rated 'good' for behaviour and attitudes and personal development, quality of education, leadership and management and early years provision was rated 'requires improvement', resulting in the overall judgement.
Noting areas for improvement, the report said teachers 'are not doing enough to help children do as well as they could' and that trustees 'do not hold leaders to account well'.
They added that some aspects of the curriculum are 'not challenging enough'.
