A SHOPPING centre in East Oxford is calling on all local choir groups to put themselves forward to perform at its Christmas light switch-on.
Templars Square Shopping Centre in Cowley needs help finding a group to sing at the event this Saturday.
Last year, over 10,000 shoppers visited the centre on the Christmas fun day and a similar number is expected this year with plenty of family entertainment on offer such as magic shows and a visit from Santa and his elf.

Visitors will be able to enjoy an afternoon of performances with the chosen local choir group performing after The Salvation Army and dance troop, Majorettes.
Paul Jackson, centre manager, said: “There’s something very festive about hearing a choir sing classic Christmas carols at this time of year, so we’re calling upon the local community to help us find a singing group.
"We’d like to invite all local choirs to put themselves forward to be part of our Christmas light switch on event. It is one of our biggest events of the year, so if you are in a choir or know of one, please get in touch.”
The choir will have to attend the event from 12pm to 4pm and perform for 30 minutes at 2.30pm. If you can help, call Suzanne Tanner on 01865 748864.
