A MAN who was arrested on suspicion of handling the gold toilet that was ripped from the floor of Blenheim Palace has been released under investigation.
So far police have arrested six people – a 66-year-old man from Evesham, 35-year-old man from Cheltenham, a group of two men and a woman from Oxford and the 35-year-old from London – but they have all been released with no charge.
The 18-carat toilet, which has never been found, was plumbed in as part of the Maurizio Cattelan exhibition that had opened two days before burglars raided the stately home on September 14.
