POLICE have snapped pictures of continuing floodings issues in Oxfordshire.

The flooding on the junction of Mill Street and Evans lane in Kidlington was caught on camera by the local neighbourhood policing team.

There is also flooding in other parts of Kidlington and Islip, police have said.

TVP Kidlington said: "The environment agency and highways are putting out warning signs.

"Please choose your route wisely as rivers are still rising."

In Banbury, the Mill Arts Centre has closed for the weekend due to flooding.

On Twitter, the arts centre said there had been severe flooding in the area.

They said: "Although thankfully everyone is alright, all shows, classes and other events from now until Monday inclusive have been cancelled.

"Thank you for your patience."

According to the Environment Agency, the River Cherwell between Banbury and Kidlington is still under a red alert today.

This means property flooding is still possible.

The Environment Agency's current warning adds: "River levels in this area are now falling and we do not forecast the situation to deteriorate much further, however we do expect water to be out of banks in many areas and water to be in fields.

"We are expecting a mostly dry day today. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.

"We are closely monitoring the situation, and our staff will be out in the area today. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid contact with flood water."
