An estate agent has been fined £3,250 for health and safety offences.
Robert Eyles, trading as E Gordon Hudson and Co, failed to comply with orders to carry out work to reduce the risk of people tripping up at his premises in Friars' Entry.
Notices were served by environmental health officers and related, in part, to a failure to provide a handrail at the top of the staircase.
Oxford magistrates fined Eyles £3,250 and ordered him to pay £617.50 costs.
It was his second conviction under health and safety legislation.
