An 18-year-old woman was raped while walking past a graveyard in Great Milton.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 5pm yesterday while the woman, who cannot be named, was walking past the graveyard of St Mary's Church.
It is understood the young woman was grabbed by a man who took her into the graveyard then raped her.
The attacker is described as over 6ft tall, aged between 25 and 30, and was wearing a dark hooded jumper and spoke with an English accent.
The victim was left extremely shaken by the incident.
Police have cordoned off the scene and are searching the area and a road check was being carried out between 4pm and 6pm today.
Det Sgt Alan Clements said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything at around 5pm yesterday afternoon in the area.
"If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you may think it is, please contact me."
