ROADWORKS caused seven-mile tailbacks on the A420 this morning.
Emergency roadworks near Faringdon have seen temporary lights put up at the B4508 Stanford-in-the-Vale turn-off.

Information posted on the one-network roadworks map suggest the works could be in action until Friday, and warn that delays are likely.

Some drivers stuck in the queue have said they could see no workers on site this morning, branding the delays a 'joke'.

There are long delays and queuing traffic was stretching back seven miles eastbound on the A420, at the height of morning rush hour.

Oxfordshire County Council reports that the work is due to a 'damaged chamber'.
The two-way traffic lights appeared yesterday and have been causing traffic in both directions.
