AN 87-year-old man was caught driving a BMW 3-Series at nearly 100mph on the motorway.
The octogenarian was fined and given five penalty points for the speeding offence.
Pathmanathan Mylvaganam was sentenced at Oxford Magistrates' Court on September 26.
The 87-year-old, of Merton Street, Banbury, had already been convicted of one count of speeding by exceeding the 70mph limit on a motorway in Buckinghamshire.

Magistrates heard that Mylvaganam was spotted by manned equipment driving at 96 mph on the M40 near junction 2 at Beaconsfield on May 19.
He was in a BMW 3 Series vehicle at the time of the offence.
For the single count of speeding he was fined £250 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 as well as court costs of £85.
His driving licence was also endorsed with five penalty points.
