THE redevelopment of Rose Hill was given the go-ahead last night by city planners.
The decision paves the way for 97 dilapidated Orlit homes to be demolished and replaced with 254 new homes.
However, some concerns were raised about drainage and the amount of open space on the remodelled estate.
The partners in the project are the city council, Oxford Citizens Housing Association and developer Taylor Wimpey.
