OXFORD MAGISTRATES’ COURT
TRISTAN BENFIELD, 23, of Adderbury Road, Oxford, was convicted of being in charge of a motor vehicle above the legal alcohol limit on March 12 at Park End Street, Oxford. Had 55mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £100 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for six months.
CARL FRANCIS, 27, of Caldecott Road, Abingdon, admitted being in possession of a quantity of cannabis on April 10 at Tower Close, Abingdon. He was fined £120. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.
GYTIS POCIUS, 28, of New Cross Road, Oxford, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on September 8 at Littlemore Roundabout, Eastern Bypass. Had 87mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £350 and must pay a victim surcharge of £35 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 22 months.
IAN GREENWOOD, 31, of Court Farm Road, Oxford, admitted stealing makeup and razors worth £592.98 from Boots, Oxford, between August 13 and August 14, as well as a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey and Smirnoff Vodka to the value of £55.50 from Tesco on Lakeview Drive in Bicester on July 17, and makeup to the value of £241 from Sainsbury’s, Oxford, on September 2. Also admitted possession of a small wrap of heroin. He was jailed for 16 weeks and must pay compensation totalling £537.49.
CRAIG TIMMS, 35, of Lidsey Road, Banbury, was convicted of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress as well as assaulting a police officer, and three counts of resisting an officer on January 24 in Banbury. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody. He was made subject to a community order to include rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days and he must pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £200.

JACK KENT, 22, of Heath Close, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a community order by failing to attend appointments and unpaid work. He was fined £40 and must pay court costs of £30.
DOHA ALVI, 18, of Windmill Road, Oxford, was convicted of speeding by driving in excess of 70mph in a 70mph area at the M40 Oxford on May 23. She was fined £100 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and her driving licence was endorsed with five penalty points.
DARREN ANTILL, 20, of Tyrrells Way, Sutton Courtenay, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver on May 23 at Abingdon Police Station. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
CHARLES BENFIELD, 40, of Hamilton Close, Bicester, was convicted of speeding by driving in excess of 70mph in a 70mph area on the M40 Bicester on May 5. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
SOL JOSHUA BOYD, 18, of Habitat Way, Wallingford, was convicted of using a vehicle without third party insurance as well as driving without a licence on August 3 in Wallingford. He was fined a total of £880 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
ELEANOR BURKE, 30, of Willow Brook, Abingdon, was convicted of speeding on the A4142 Eastern Bypass, Oxford, on June 17. She was travelling at an unspecified speed on a road where the legal speed limit was 50mph. She was fined £433 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £43 and court costs of £85. Her driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
MICHAEL COFIE, 44, of the Oaks, Carterton, was convicted of speeding on the M40 near High Wycombe. He was driving at an unspecified speed on a road where the legal speed limit was 70mph. He was fined £461 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £46 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
HERMENEGILDO DA COSTA GUSMAO, 26, of Lyndworth Close, Oxford, was convicted of driving without a licence on Abingdon Road, Oxford, on July 14. He was also convicted of driving without insurance and without a valid test certificate on the same date. He was fined a total of £1,100. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

He was driving at an unspecified speed on a road where the legal speed limit was 60mph. He was fined £440 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

JASON HINDMARCH, 36, of Upper Grange Cottages, Newington, was convicted of driving while using a mobile phone on April 18 at the A4, near Padworth, Berkshire. He was fined £220. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
TREVOR HOPKINS, 60, of Oxford Road, Abingdon, was convicted of speeding on the A43 dual carriageway at Tusmore on May 5. He was driving at an unspecified speed on a road where the limit was 70mph. He was fined £440. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
MOHAMAD ALI KURDI, 29, of Prior Court, Didcot, was convicted of driving without insurance on the Broadway, Didcot on June 20. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
JOHN BREWER, of St Clements, Oxford, admitted failing to answer bail at Oxford Magistrates' Court on October 23. Given a conditional discharge for three months and ordered to pay a £21 victim surcharge.
