A MAN has been charged with stealing nearly £20,000 of life-saving rescue equipment belonging to Oxfordshire's Search and Rescue team.
James Browning is due to appear before Oxfordshire Magistrates' Court for his first appearance today.
The 37-year-old of Monmouth Close, London, is facing one count of theft from the person of another.

It is alleged that at Nuffield in Oxfordshire he stole rescue equipment to the approximate value of £19,663.
That equipment belonged to the Emergency Response Team for Search and Rescue.
It is claimed that the items were stolen between December 16 2017 and February 13 2018.
No plea has been entered to the alleged offence and the matter will be heard before magistrates today.
