A HALLOWEEN themed cake made by an Oxfordshire business is treading the line between gory and moreish, as it has embraced the horror theme of the season.
The cake in the shape of a severed head was made by husband and wife team Scott and Amelia Holden of Lushlooking Cakes of Oxfordshire.
Scott, a former lorry driver, said the couple were self taught, but rose to the challenge of making a gory cake for a Halloween party.
The gory cake was named 'Ian.' Picture: Lushlooking Cakes of Oxfordshire.
Scott said: "We were asked by the Fox & Goat in Tiddington, to make a ‘gory’ cake for their Halloween party.
"I wanted to share it because it was very well received, but I don’t want it to go to my head!"
On Lushlooking Cakes' Facebook page, the cake is named Ian, and described as a 'delicious 8-layer vanilla sponge with creamy vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam filling.'
It is 100 per cent edible including the glass and Ian’s eyeball.
Some of the company's other cakes images of dinosaurs roaming a prehistoric landscape, an octopus clinging to a rock and a cariacature of the president of the United States.
