THE Highways Agency is hosting a public exhibition tomororw and Saturday to show the latest proposals for replacing the Wolvercote Viaduct on the A34 at Oxford.
The existing viaduct, constructed during 1960-61, needs major maintenance work to ensure it remains safe and to bring it up to current design standards.
The viaduct carries the busy dual carriageway over the A40, the Oxford-Banbury railway line and the Oxford Canal between the Pear Tree and Botley interchanges.
Construction is expected to start next year and residents in Clifford Place, Home Close, and Rosamund Road could be disturbed by some noise.
The exhibition will take place at the Wolvercote Young People's Club in St Peter's Road.
Highways Agency staff will be available to discuss how the scheme has progressed since appointing the contractor in July last year.
