A WOMAN claiming to be deaf is targeting elderly people in Didcot and Wallingford.
Thames Valley Police put out an alert on Saturday on social media after a series of distraction thefts in the past two weeks.
The woman is described as in her twenties, slim with dark hair, wearing black clothing with a distinct white strip on the trousers and holding a red clip board.

She is approaching older people and speaking in what is described as an Eastern European accent claiming she is deaf and collecting money for charity.
Police said the victims are distracted and she has stolen money or valuable items from them.
Anyone with information regarding the woman's identity is asked to call 101, quoting reference 43190323379.
Police said if anyone sees someone fitting the description approaching people they should call 999.
