The Plain, Magdalen Bridge, High Street and St Aldates in Oxford will all be closed on Monday for the procession for PC Andrew Harper’s funeral.
The cluster of roads will be closed off to traffic from 8am until 12.30pm.
Motorists will be able to drive down part of Longwall Street to turn left onto the High Street towards The Plain.
A route map by Thames Valley Police
Thames Valley Police launched a murder investigation after the officer died responding to a burglary in the rural village of Sulhamstead in August.
The PC, who was based at Abingdon station, will be remembered at a special police funeral at Christ Church Cathedral on Monday.
The details were announced last week.
Buses will also not be going through the city centre from 8am until 12.30pm.
The majority of bus routes will be diverted via Donnington Bridge Road and temporary bus stops will be put on Iffley Road for those who need to get into the city.
Cyclists will also be asked to dismount, but bike racks will be used as normal.
