A FIELD of Hope will help Banbury residents remember loved ones - and raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
A small plot of garden near the People's Park's Horsefair entrance has been taken over by the charity and passers-by have been invited to plant daffodil bulbs in memory of relatives or friends.
Rose Stratford, chairman of Cherwell District Council, said: "Marie Curie is my nominated charity for the year.
"There is already a Field of Hope in Bicester, and we thought it would be good to have one in Banbury.
"We are asking people to plant a daffodil, the Marie Curie emblem, and make a donation to the charity.
"The bulbs will flower every year and be a constant reminder every time they walk through the park."
Planting bulbs in the new garden are Paul and Kea Barnes, from Banbury, helped by Shiralyn Hunt, Marie Curie's Oxfordshire fundraiser, and Elizabeth Hawkins, from Cherwell District Council.
