A WOMAN who was found dead in a block of flats last week has been identified as Emily Rebekah Goodman.
Thames Valley Police launched a murder investigation last week after a man fell to his death from the 14th floor of a block of flats in Wood Farm.
After rushing to the scene, police carried out a search of Foresters Tower and found a woman, now known to be Ms Goodman, on the fourth floor.
The 42-year-old died from 'incised wounds to the neck and applied neck pressure'.
An incised wound is a wound or cut which is caused by a razor, knife or broken piece of glass.
The 37-year-old man who fell from the top floor has not been formally identified and police say they are working to inform his next of kin.
Last week police said they would leave no stone unturned in the murder investigation.
Deputy senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Sally Spencer of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “The family of Emily Goodman are being supported by specially trained officers as our investigation continues.
“I would re-iterate that we are not looking for anybody else in connection with the murder of Emily or the death of the 37-year-old man.
“However, if anybody has any information that can assist our investigation, please call 101, quoting URN 1469 (24/9).”
