AN INJURED driver had to be cut free after his van careered off the road into a ditch and smashed into a tree.
Firefighters were scrambled to rescue the driver from the wreckage along the A4260 Banbury Road, North Aston, north Oxfordshire.
Two crews rushed to the scene from Kidlington and Banbury fire stations and found the passenger of the van had managed to get free, but the driver was trapped inside.
Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the driver who was taken to hospital with injuries 'not thought to be life-threatening' according to Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Anyone who may of seen the crash is urged to call 101.
