AN ALLEGED fraud from within Oxfordshire County Council is thought to have cost the authority more than £117,000.
As previously reported, the council has said the suspected fraud will be subject to court proceedings.
The council said a hearing will take place at Oxford Crown Court and that it is scheduled to take place in October.

When the Oxford Mail asked for more details about the case in August, the council refused to give any.
But it was obliged to answer questions the newspaper asked in a Freedom of Information request.
The alleged fraud case was first mentioned in a council report last year.
It said the suspected crime in the children’s services department was thought to have cost £117,316.53.
It is alleged to have taken place between November 2012 and February 2018.
Another case of alleged impropriety regarding a council procurement card resulted in a ‘full investigation’.
The council said: “Appropriate action was taken in accordance with the disciplinary process.”
