QUEEN Street in Oxford has re-opened as scaffolding outside Holland & Barrett that was 'smashed' into by a road sweeper has now been fixed.
A large cordon stretching from the Clarendon Centre to Costa Coffee sprung up early this morning, leaving several shops unable to trade and causing bus diversions.

One construction worker from scaffolding company, County Access, confirmed a road sweeper had collided with the poles at about 6am.
A team from County Access arrived in Queen Street to carry out repairs at about 10.30am, with two poles appearing to require attention.
It has now been repaired and the team left the site at around 12pm and the street is open.
Oxford Bus Company tweeted this morning that the street was closed 'until further notice', forcing its City 35 service to divert away from the Westgate Centre and through St Aldates and the High Street.
CITY UPDATE: Queen Street is closed until further notice. Your City 3 8 and 9 will still be servicing Westgate. City 35 will be not serving Westgate and will be diverting via St.Aldates and High Street. St.Aldates stop H2 will be served as normal. Apologies for any inconvenience

Six shops, including Specsavers and Paperchase, fall within the cordon and are now open to customers.
Pedestrians were still able to walk along Queen Street this morning by following the diversion that was in place.
